About the Role

We're looking for a Construction Inspector to join our growing Community Building team in the Puget Sound region. You'll assist with roadway, utility, and related public works construction projects throughout the Puget Sound region, working alongside experienced inspectors and project teams. If you're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in construction management, we'd love to connect.

You Will:

  • Assist with daily on-site inspections of roadway, utility, or vertical construction projects to help verify work aligns with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Observe contractor activities with a focus on safety, quality, environmental compliance, and contract requirements.
  • Document field activities and progress using daily inspection reports, photos, and construction management software or templates.
  • Support review and verification of contractor quantities for payment and assist with progress pay estimates.
  • Observe installation of underground utilities such as stormwater, sanitary sewer, and potable water systems.
  • Support QA/QC activities, including coordination of materials testing and verification of results.
  • Communicate with contractors, design teams, client representatives, utility providers, and other project partners under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Help identify non-conforming work and assist with tracking corrective actions.
  • Assist with project closeout tasks such as punch lists, record drawing reviews, and final inspections.
  • Maintain organized project files, including daily photos, Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs), and Field Note Records (FNRs).
  • Safely navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain and varying field conditions.

You Have:

  • 1+ years of construction, inspection, or field experience (internships and academic fieldwork count).
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Interest in public infrastructure projects such as roadways and utilities.
  • Familiarity with construction safety practices; OSHA 10 preferred (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to work outdoors in active construction environments and traverse varied surface conditions.
  • Ability to lift or move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a team setting or independently as required by projects.
  • Valid driver's license.
