Senior System Administrator Location: Florida, Patrick SFB Clearance Required: Secret Clearance Job Type: Full-Time Nationwide IT Services, NIS is seeking an experienced System Administrator for a potential opportunity with experience in Visual Requirements View (VRV) to lead a critical Air Force support contract at Patrick Space Force Base, in Florida. Position Overview: Responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and configuration of Air Force / Space Force information systems. This role serves as the technical lead for the administration team, ensuring system availability and reliability while meeting all DoD 8140 cyber workforce qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Network Administration, manage and maintain server, network, and desktop infrastructure Information Assurance Perform software installations Patch management System upgrades in accordance with Air Force policies Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues Mentor junior administrators and ensure team compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies. Required Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in System Administration and Information Assurance. Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is highly desired. DoD 8140 Compliance: Must meet DoDM 8140.03 qualification requirements for the relevant Cyber IT work role (e.g., System Administrator - 451) at the Intermediate or Advanced proficiency level. Certifications: CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III certification) required prior to start.
