Tectonic is currently seeking an Information Technology Intern to support our Corporate Office located in Orange County, NY! This is a paid position that provides excellent opportunity to gain valuable exposure to the field of IT while working closely with a diverse group of IT Professionals!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading PCs, laptops, and related electronic equipment;
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting both common and unusual hardware and software problems both remotely and on-site for employees;
- Performing preventative maintenance on the organization's PC equipment;
- Ensuring the connectivity of PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and other computing devices to the the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN), as well as setting up and maintaining peripheral equipment;
- Performing basic web editing;
- Maintaining proficiency with supported hardware/software;
- Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the IT Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Should be currently pursuing an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in relate field (Computer Science, Cyber Security, ect);
- Basic Microsoft troubleshooting abilities;
- Initiative to research and resolve unfamiliar computer issues;
- Basic technical skills for both Hardware & Software Applications;
- Must be able to respond to end user requests for technical support via telephone for hardware, software, network and procedural related issues;
- Candidates must possess a valid, clean driver's license. This position may require regular travel to the New York City metro area, as well as travel to other offices;
- Candidates must possess outstanding interpersonal and communication skills;
- Must be self-motivated, a team player, and willing to learn.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the candidate must be able to constantly assume a stationary position, and must handle and/or feel documents, materials, and/or equipment to perform necessary tasks, sometimes repetitively. The candidate must be able to occasionally maneuver within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and may exert up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally. Constantly, they must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others via the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and in person.

PAY RANGE
Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 / hour
