Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise facility operators, seasonal staff, and contractors, focusing on safety and compliance.
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees; conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
  • Manage work orders, budgets, invoices, and purchase requisitions.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance of water systems, including regulatory compliance and corrective actions.
  • Maintain inventory and coordinate resources across operational groups.
  • Partner with engineering and external agencies for construction projects and regulatory matters.
  • Track compliance activities and maintain operational databases.
  • Stay updated on regulations and recommend operational changes as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-years' experience in water utility operations; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must obtain Pennsylvania DEP Water Operator certifications within an agreed timeframe.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of water infrastructure and safety.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Team-oriented and able to work under pressure.

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to various environmental and operational hazards.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Travel up to 50% of work time; on-call and after-hours availability required.
