Position Summary This role supports the SUBSAFE Program Director in directing and maintaining the Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) and Deep Submergence System (DSS) programs to ensure production efforts are in compliance with customer directives, requirements and specifications. The Deputy SUBSAFE/DSS Program Director must be able to interpret all SUBSAFE/DSS related requirements, directives and standards and advise personnel. Travel may be required up to 5% of the year. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills required. Duties And Responsibilities * Implement an effective SUBSAFE/DSS program, which follows the guidelines of the QA Manual, and all documentation and requirements associated with the program. Qualifications REQUIRED * Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Naval Architecture, or similar) from an accredited college or university; or five (5) years' experience managing quality programs in lieu of an Engineering Degree. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS: * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
