Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The mission of the School of Social Work is to advance equity, transform systems, improve lives. The School's curriculum supports the mission and recognizes the uniqueness of the region served, including concerns for disadvantaged, vulnerable, and oppressed individuals, families and communities. Classes provide rigorous and evidence-based content, and give students the opportunity to explore theory, learn intervention skills and engage in challenging dialogue with colleagues.
Position Summary
This position will be a temporary Adjunct Professor position for three months to serve as Co-Chair on the Associate Dean of Community Outreach & Engagement search committee, and also to launch the new Office of Community Outreach & Engagement (including Recharge Center).
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in social work (or in a related field), 12 years of relevant experience (11 years must be post-Master's), and demonstrated expertise and consistent functioning in at least two of three of the following domains: research and scholarship, engagement, or teaching, advising, and mentoring.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Preferred experience includes demonstrated expertise and competency in community outreach and engagement with non-profits and public agencies.
