Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Manager for Faculty Qualifications serves as Texas State Technical College's statewide lead for ensuring the quality, integrity, and consistency of the faculty qualifications process. This role is responsible for building, refining, and managing an efficient, high-quality framework that ensures faculty are appropriately qualified, documented, and ready for assignment each academic term.

The position plays a critical institutional compliance role by interpreting and applying accreditation requirements, college policy, and course- and program-level qualification standards. Beyond compliance, the role focuses on strengthening quality assurance, streamlining workflows, and improving the speed and accuracy with which TSTC verifies and assigns qualified faculty.

Success in this role requires close, proactive partnership with Human Resources, Campus Provosts, Program Team Leads, Deans, Directors of Alignment, Curriculum, Accelerated Training, and other key functional areas. Through these partnerships, the Manager ensures new faculty move efficiently through the qualification process and that existing faculty qualification records remain current as curricula evolve.

The role also monitors course assignment readiness each term, collaborating with the Curriculum Office to update faculty course eligibility when programs or courses are revised. The Manager serves as a strategic partner in identifying qualification gaps and opportunities for faculty skill development, particularly when industry-driven curriculum changes introduce new or modified course requirements.

In addition to qualifications oversight, this role supports broader Planning & Assessment initiatives, including assessment cycles, program review, goal planning, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts. Essential Functions
