Position: Senior Principal Piping Engineer

Worksite: 4949 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70809

Responsibilities:

Execute pipe stress engineering tasks on projects with competent knowledge of Static and Dynamic analysis on Caesar II software. Prepare and review engineering FEA of piping components and equipment nozzle connections. Develop design and application of piping supports. Review and approve engineering data input to project list of lines, including pressure containment and safety testing. Develop requirements for all piping lines on project. Review and approve engineering application of specialty piping components. Coordinate the efforts of multiple engineers assigned to a single project. Mentor junior level piping engineers, assign and distribute workload. Proactively collaborate with internal teams and/or external third parties to meet project commitments, costs, and schedules, demonstrating effective communications and organizational skills. Support Piping Material Requisition, Technical Bid Evaluation & Vendor Documents of Piping related items. Technically review and approve bids/POs for SP-Items. Conduct document checking and design verification tasks in accordance with company and project procedures. Utilize piping specific software and other support software competently.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field and 15 years of Piping Engineering experience including Static and Dynamic analysis of piping systems and good understanding of Piping support standards, experience on Compressors and Turbines, experience in Oil and Gas projects, and Refinery green field projects, construction site field experience, experience in Feed and Detail engineering projects, demonstrated strong understanding of ASME and other piping codes and knowledge of the engineering development process and typical Piping Engineering deliverables such as piping isometrics, piping line classes, line designation tables, specialty items, material selection diagrams, etc., proficiency in Pipe stress analysis using Caesar II and Nozzle pro software, experience in managing the junior engineers and review their performance.
