Job Description




As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol Driver in Santa Rosa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Bring teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable approach to every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate personnel per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of patient care areas, public spaces, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to discourage unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Support access control by monitoring entrances and restricted areas, assisting with visitor wayfinding, and/or reporting unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
  • Complete shift reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs, and communicate relevant observations to oncoming personnel and site leadership as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
