Security Officer - Logistics Yard Patrol

As a Security Officer - Logistics Yard Patrol in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the facility, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control with visitor check-in and badge verification. You will also deliver responsive customer service, clear communication, and thorough reporting, living our agile, reliable, and innovative approach while working as one team with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards and/or perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns to report.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for drivers, employees and vendors; assist with vehicle and pedestrian traffic flow during peak shipping and receiving periods.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical calls and/or suspicious activity; notify Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as required.
• Complete detailed reports and logs, including shift activity, patrol findings and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information during post handoff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
