Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Deposit Center Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and service requests with calm professionalism, support staff and visitors through clear communication and customer service, and document activity and report concerns. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for unusual activity or hazards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting assistance as needed and documenting actions taken.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit points, and directing visitors, vendors, and employees according to site procedures.
  • Maintain firearms and equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal and site weapon-handling procedures, and complete required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
