This individual must be proactive, detail-driven, and capable of independently managing recurring operational responsibilities while driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced engineering environment.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

xport Compliance & Process Management

Drive continuous improvement of the Export Compliance (EC) process by analyzing existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimized, scalable solutions.

  • Establish and maintain tracking mechanisms for all pending, approved, and denied Export Control Requests (ECRs), supporting audit readiness and visibility.
  • Perform ongoing assessments of export compliance process functionality and sustainability, implementing adjustments as needed to maintain adherence to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Procurement & Financial Tracking

  • Drive continuous improvement of Purchase Request (PR) and Purchase Order (PO) submission and tracking processes, documenting standard procedures and updates within Confluence.
  • Execute end-to-end PR and PO activities for critical engineering materials and services in compliance with procurement and financial policies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tracking outstanding PRs and POs, proactively resolving issues such as invoice discrepancies, vendor delays, or internal approval gaps to protect project schedules.
  • Act as a trained delegate for procurement and financial approvals during manager Out-of-Office (OOO) periods to ensure continuity of operations.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Develop, maintain, and publish clear, accurate, and accessible documentation for export compliance and operational processes within the Confluence knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with compliance and engineering stakeholders to develop training materials that reinforce documented processes and support broader adoption.

Schedule Management & Reporting

  • Independently maintain and update assigned project schedules within the Wrike project management platform, ensuring task dependencies, durations, and milestones remain accurate.
  • Generate and distribute schedule status reports highlighting critical path impacts, emerging risks, and resource conflicts for program stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • 5-15 years of experience in a project coordination, operations, engineering support, or compliance-adjacent role.
  • Experience supporting engineering or technical programs in a project coordination, operations, or compliance role.
  • Working knowledge of export compliance concepts and regulatory environments (ITAR/EAR).
  • Experience managing PR/PO workflows and coordinating with procurement, finance, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Wrike, Confluence, similar platforms).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks independently.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information in accordance with U.S. Government regulations.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or space systems engineering organizations.
  • Familiarity with audit readiness, compliance tracking, or regulated environments.
  • Experience developing process documentation and training materials for technical teams.
