The American Red Cross is seeking a highly adaptable and mission-driven TIDE Tier 3. This position will last through approximately March 22, 2026, or as needed. This role is not eligible for relocation assistance.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Oversee program to ensure that implementation and defined activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives. Manage planning, design and implementation of assigned program area. Analyze program activity and identify areas for improvement. Work with internal and external contacts to develop program strategies and proposal initiatives. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

1: Direct activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of program function or activity. Responsible for the planning, execution and evaluation of a specific project or program.

2: Ensure integration of assigned project or function with overall program initiatives.

3: Analyze data, identify areas of need and/or improvement, and develop recommendations for program improvement. Develop reports on project status and issues for management review.

4: Oversee processes within assigned program area. Analyze operating practices and recommend revisions to improve established procedures.

5: Work in conjunction with internal departments and external government and/or non-government agencies in the development of program strategies and proposal initiatives as required.-

Scope: Individual contributor and acknowledged expert both within the organization as well as within other organizations. Typically participates in industry/knowledge reference groups. Involves mastery of a specialized discipline and thorough understanding of a number of disciplines. May also require development of new solutions for complex projects.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Managerial Experience: n/a

Combination of candidate's education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description's minimum education and general experience years combined.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE:

Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service. Demonstrated ability in creating presentations and developing training modules. Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Develop project plans, budgets and strategies to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrate analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements. Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Ability to work on a team.

Travel: Travel may be required

Work Conditions:

Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of up to 20 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information. Overall mobility is essential. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.

Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to emergency services relief work. May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout chapter jurisdiction, state, and Red Cross system. Because the Red Cross is a disaster response organization, staff may be asked to be on 24-hour call during period of major disaster.

Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
