Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Buffalo, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Analyzes and maintains test cases, approaches, and plans.
  • Conducts manual functional, regression, and system integration testing, supports user acceptance testing, and reports issues found during the test life cycle.
  • Creates test cases that verify approved requirements for assigned modules, documents results, and assists with software application troubleshooting and technical diagnosis.
  • Assist with preparation of test plans.
  • Design test cases and condition requisite test data.
  • Execute functional test cases and thoroughly document test results.
  • Document defects in accordance with defect management policies and procedures.
  • Participate in impact assessment discussions.
  • Analyze test cases for regression and automation feasibility.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Assurance best practices.
  • Guide less experienced personnel.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client's brand.
  • Maintain the client's internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $24.76 - $41.27/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Temp (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Minimum of 1 year application testing experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Computer Science or Business with 2 years of experience.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development framework.
  • Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) knowledge.
  • Pertinent web service testing application experience.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment under aggressive timelines.
  • Test Case Design & Execution.
  • Regression, Integration, System, and UAT Testing.
  • Defect Identification, Logging & Tracking.
