Long Distance (LD) / Long-Haul / Ultra-Long Haul (ULH) Transport Engineer
Richardson, TX: 1-2 days per week in office required

Key Skills (Required):
Telecom industry experience with long distance/ultra-long haul (ULH) networks
Expertise in SONET/SDH, OTN mesh, WDM, and ULH transport equipment
Vendor knowledge: Ciena, Infinera, Fujitsu
Systems: BGW/Granite, CoFEE(Canvas), Nautilus, ICON, CCP, Venue, 3GIS/FIMS
Engineering and design of ULH transport
Process management and results-driven
Proficiency with Windows programs and corporate databases

Desired Skills:
Understanding of engineering specs, drawings, and legacy network OS
Risk assessment and problem-solving autonomy
Strong independent and team collaboration skills
Ability to manage priorities and deadlines

Job Duties:
Engineer, plan, implement, test, and turn up LD ULH transport networks
Deploy fixed/flex grid and next-gen LD ULH transport
Monitor network utilization and expansion
Support site decommissioning and inventory management
Troubleshoot, handle escalations, and maintain database integrity
Stay updated on technology evolution

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's in a technical field or equivalent experience
5+ years telecom experience
