Armedica / Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking a Materials Planning Manager to join our team in Greenwood, AR. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating material planning, purchasing, inventory control, and warehouse activities to support efficient manufacturing operations. With one direct report, this role is hands on and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments and facilities to ensure materials are available when needed to meet production schedules.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

Material Planning & Purchasing

  • Execute material requirements planning (MRP) to maintain adequate supply of raw materials, components, and packaging
  • Issue purchase orders, track delivery status, and maintain accurate lead times in the ERP/MRP system
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules, shortages, and quality concerns
  • Assist in identifying potential new suppliers and gathering quotes for cost or efficiency improvements

Inventory Management

  • Monitor inventory levels to balance production needs with cost-effective stocking practices
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and root-cause analysis of discrepancies
  • Implement improvements to material flow, labeling, and stock organization to reduce waste and increase efficiency

Warehouse & Logistics Coordination

  • Oversee receiving, storage, staging, and shipment of materials and finished goods
  • Ensure warehouse areas comply with company safety and organizational standards
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with carriers and internal teams to support production and customer delivery requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Production to align material availability with daily and weekly schedules
  • Support Engineering and Quality teams with material changes, nonconforming material handling, and corrective actions
  • Assist with material setup for new product introductions or production changes
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities related to material flow and inventory accuracy
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of materials, inventory control, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • High level competency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Experience supervising or mentoring others, even informally
  • Familiarity with Lean/5S or other continuous improvement methods
  • Experience with QuickBooks software preferred
