Y on the Fly- Youth Development Site lead(2pm-6pm) Fort Bend County

YMCA of Greater Houston
United States, Texas, Missouri City
Jan 29, 2026

Y on the Fly is a mobile enrichment and STEM initiative operated as a program of the YMCA. The program brings hands-on learning, enrichment activities, and youth development experiences directly to schools and community sites, removing barriers related to transportation and access.

Designed primarily for elementary and middle school students, Y on the Fly delivers structured, engaging programming that emphasizes STEM exploration, problem-solving, creativity, teamwork, and social development. Activities are intentionally flexible and can be implemented with limited technology, allowing programming to continue reliably even during logistical challenges.

As a YMCA program, Y on the Fly aligns with the organization's mission to support youth development, promote equity, and strengthen communities. The model is scalable, school-friendly, and responsive to community needs, making it an effective solution for after-school programs, camps, and short-term enrichment rotations.

This position requires regular travel between multiple program sites within the Greater Houston areas.
