Job Summary:

The CalWORKs Clinical Manager is responsible for leading and managing an integrated treatment team to provide coordinated care to CalWORKs participants seeking Mental Health and Supported Employment - IPS services for the purpose of removing barriers to finding and sustaining employment. The CalWORKs Clinical Manager supervises the CalWORKs Therapists, and the Supported Employment/OP Clinical Supervisor to ensure that treatment meets the current standards for quality of care, the CalWORKs Statement of Work, the Supported Employment-IPS fidelity standards and the Department of Mental Health's guidelines. The CalWORKs Clinical Manager is responsible for staff development, performance improvement, and for promoting appropriate and effective care through established monitoring systems. The CalWORKs Clinical Manager also designs, implements and improves processes for better outcomes while maintaining fiscal accountability for the program.

The CalWORKs Clinical Manager is an achievement oriented, self-starter who is able to function comfortably in a team environment. This individual exudes professionalism and relates well to others, as well as County and SE-IPS representatives. This position requires strong leadership abilities and the capacity to multi-task and manage time and tasks independently. The individual in this position must be able to assume a wide range of responsibilities, provide timely responses to requests and deadlines, and work well under pressure.

Requirements:

  • Education - a minimum of a Master's Degree in the behavioral sciences field.
  • License - must have a current, active license as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
  • Completed coursework on Clinical Supervision of ASWs, AMFTs and APCCs to meet the 15-hour BBS mandated training requirement (from an approved BBS provider).
  • Clinical Experience - a minimum of two years, post licensure, in the behavioral health field working with children, adolescents and families.
  • Supervisory Experience - a minimum of one year of management experience within a Community Based Mental Health Program or CalWORKs/IPS Program preferred.
  • Advanced education, training, and/or work experience in the fields of mental health services, domestic violence, chemical dependency, and community resource/ employment related services preferred.
  • Valid California driver's license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Position Location: Lancaster, CA

Salary Range: $93,450 - $113,350 per year

Eligible employees may request up to 5 days of Paid Time Off to study for their licensure.
