Pay Range: $21.40 - $25.47 per hour

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Qualifications:

Required: Highschool diploma or GED required

Preferred:

Previous laboratory, medical office, or healthcare experience preferred

Essential Functions:

• Specimen processing to ensure acceptability for blood bank testing
• Assist in gathering and documenting quality control data
• Maintain accurate records
• Maintain and monitor for pneumatic tube station when needed for specimen receipt
• Utilize LIS to review requisitions and submit necessary test or replacement specimen
• Record and receive supplies and reagents to inventory and manage storage location
• Prepare blood product segment for testing
• Utilize archive software and computer for record retention per established protocol
• Report event report using the hospital-based event reporting system
