The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $224,960.00 to $281,200.00. The range may vary if the role outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate'sexperience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Summary

The Vice President of Marketing for American Whiskeys and Agaves leads the longterm brand strategy and growth agenda for one of the most dynamic portfolios in the spirits industry. This role shapes the future of iconic and emerging brands by building equity, driving performance, and elevating marketing capabilities across the organization. You will steward a multi-brand portfolio, including the unique and fast-growing Codigo brand, while partnering closely with founders, cross-functional leaders, and commercial teams. This is a rare opportunity to influence category leadership, inspire a high-performing team, and bring culturally resonant brand experiences to life.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and execution of the annual brand operating plan, ensuring strategies and programs are culturally relevant, inclusive, and adaptable across markets.
  • Build and strengthen brand positioning, digital strategy, and media engagement plans, delivering measurable improvements in brand equity, conversion, and market performance within 12-18 months.
  • Partner with the Innovation Hub to shape timely, insight-driven innovation that fuels long-term portfolio growth.
  • Collaborate closely with the Codigo Founder and team to co-create impactful marketing and commercial plans tailored to the U.S. market.
  • Oversee multi-brand strategy development, serving as a key liaison to Brand Units and ensuring alignment, consistency, and cultural resonance across the portfolio.
  • Manage significant marketing investment budgets, optimizing spend through ROI tracking, performance diagnostics, and data-driven course correction.
  • Represent the Chief Marketing Officer in enterprise forums as needed, contributing to cross-functional leadership discussions and advancing organizational priorities.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive business or marketing experience, including 10+ years leading brand management for multiple brands and teams.
  • Experience in the American Whiskeys or Agave categories (both preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing brand strategy, digital marketing, and culturally relevant consumer engagement.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, with experience managing significant budgets and driving ROI-based decision-making.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, collaborate across functions, and manage complex stakeholder dynamics, including founder-led environments.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a track record of building inclusive teams and integrating diverse perspectives into brand strategy.
