Responsibilities

This position coordinates the home infusion services for patients enrolled in participating Hemophilia Treatment Centers, educates patients and staff, and facilitates communication between healthcare providers, patients, and home infusion agencies. This position is also responsible for performing a wide variety of operations support activities as well as handling clerical, office, and administrative functions in conjunction with the general operation of a designated operational unit.

    Coordinate home infusion services and patient tracking for the HTCs we serve.
  • Review patient insurance coverage to determine the correct agency to perform the home service.
  • Coordinate and train appropriate staff regarding the new virtual pharmacy visit initiative.
  • Maintain and update the online resource portal for hemophilia treatment center customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of patients, generate reports, and patient/hospital surveys.
  • Respond to telephone, in-person, or electronic inquiries from both internal and external customers.
  • Receive and distribute all manufactured products and investigate all inventory discrepancies.
  • Enter and maintain the data in various organizational operational and administrative software.
  • Coordinate with coordination the delivery of patient orders.
  • Run inventory reports and make stocking recommendations and purchase needed supplies and maintain supply levels.
  • Maintain departmental records including payroll, training, and storage records.
  • Complete daily administrative reviews to include producing a variety of correspondence. overseeing the ordering of office supplies, maintaining forms, and other required materials, processing paperwork such as accounts payable forms, purchase orders, and requisitions.
  • Collaborate with a team or independently on special projects/committees as assigned.
  • Any related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or educational equivalent.

Experience:

  • Four years of experience providing support to a small to medium operational unit, which includes work performing operational duties and not just administrative duties.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications.
  • Knowledge of office management practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with insurance processes and healthcare regulations.

Skills:

  • Cultural competency and the ability to communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with both individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail in composing/proofing all correspondence, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to manage a variety of issues and situations.

Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, to others in one-on-one or small group settings.
  • Ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization and customers in a helpful, courteous, and friendly manner while demonstrating sensitivity to and respect for diverse populations.
  • Ability to plan and organize job tasks or resources in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to be responsive and available to management to address issues and concerns as they arise.
  • Ability to edit documents for spelling, grammar, and tone, and presents data effectively and can read and interpret written and analytical information. Monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

Any combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the requirements above that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

For applicants who will perform this position in New York City or Westchester County, the proposed hiring rate is $30.00p/hr. to $34.00p/hr. For applicants who will perform this position outside of New York City or Westchester County, salary will reflect local market rates and be commensurate with the applicant's skills, job-related knowledge, and experience.

Unless otherwise specified, all posted opportunities are located in the New York or Greater Tri-State office locations.
