Inova Central Lab is seeking a full-time Laboratory Supervisor- Patient Service Center to join our team! This role is scheduled for Day shifts, Monday-Friday.

Job Responsibilities Laboratory Supervisor:

  • Promote customer service by supporting Inova Health System customer service behaviors.
  • To help achieve our mission, you will assist in the development of budget and financial targets.
  • Your ability to design team member schedules and assignments to ensure the proper and timely completion of work, the health and safety of team members and the overall efficient operation of the section is of vital importance.
  • Maintaining personal/professional development to ensure effective job performance to contribute to organizational effectiveness is required.
  • Taking ownership for technical and scientific standards while serving as a clinical/technical resource and coordinating quality activities is essential.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years of Phlebotomy experience required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Business or Science. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Histo/Cyto Technology, Chemistry, Biology or Physical Science.

Certification:

  • CPR within one year of hire.
  • Certification from an accredited phlebotomy program or successful completion of Inova Health System's Phlebotomy training program.
  • Completion of Phlebotomy training can also be from another Allied Health training program such as Medical Assistant, MLT, MT or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Phlebotomy certification by a nationally recognized organization
