Responsibilities
The Senior Structural Engineer is responsible for the structural design, analysis, and integration of systems that support complex electrical and mechanical modules, including prefabricated skids, equipment enclosures, modular power systems, and integrated infrastructure assemblies. This role ensures structural integrity, constructability, transportability, and long-term performance of modules supporting mission-critical operations.
- Design structural systems supporting complex electrical and mechanical modules, including E-houses, mechanical skids, and packaged systems
- Perform structural analysis for static, dynamic, seismic, wind, vibration, lifting, and transportation loads
- Design steel and reinforced concrete frames, bases, foundations, and anchorage systems
- Develop and review structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure structural compatibility
- Support modularization strategies including shop fabrication, transport, lifting, and installation
- Review vendor drawings and equipment data for structural impacts
- Support fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities
Standards & Safety
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC, OSHA, UFC where applicable)
- Address safety-critical considerations including fatigue, redundancy, and progressive collapse
- Support development of structural standards and best practices for modular systems
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews
- Interface with fabricators, contractors, and external partners
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) -
Professional Engineer (PE) license required -
8+ years of structural engineering experience -
Experience designing structures supporting electrical and mechanical equipment -
Proficiency with structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, IDEA, StatiCa, Tedds, Mathcad)
Desired Skills:

Experience with modular construction or skid-mounted systems -
Experience designing for lifting and transportation loads -
Experience in mission-critical facilities or industrial infrastructure -
Familiarity with design-build or EPC delivery models
Work Environment
Combination of office, fabrication facility, and construction site environments. Occasional travel and off-hours support during installations or critical lifts may be required. Abilities:
