Who we are looking for:
Commercial Loan Administrator responsible for supporting loan officers in an administrative capacity within a highly engaged, high-service environment. First Line staff support for activities that include assisting with commercial loans to facilitate new loans and loan closings, researching and responding to customers on multiple issues, from loan status to account information.

What you'll do:



  • Coordinates loan closings with title companies and real estate agencies. Ensuring documents returned from applicable agencies are complete and accurate.


  • Significant understanding of loan documentation, credit policy, and banking regulation to enable a constant review to ensure the assistance is up to speed on any changes to the company credit policy and company compliance
  • Coordinate the preparation of required loan documentation; ensure documentation meets compliance requirements; coordinate the execution of loan documents; organize workflow for renewal; follow up with clients, insurance agents, title company, and/or attorney for missing loan documentation as necessary
  • Effective file maintenance to resolve exceptions or any other documentation deficiencies, along with actively managing outstanding exception items for compliance with credit policy
  • Work closely with the banker, lender, relationship manager, and portfolio manager to assist in collecting financial data and client phone/email communication to better manage the overall client relationship. Other client-related services include wires, NSF accounts, and overdrafts
  • Responsible for monitoring reports such as past due, paid off loans, and maturing loan lists to assist and proactively inform banker of potential or pending issues, along with providing support to minimize administrative gaps
  • Moderate understanding of HMDA, CRA Community Development, and CRA Small Business Revenue inputs to ensure proper reporting and compliance for the bank.
  • Understanding and communication ability of the bank's retail services and processes to effectively perform retail functions as needed


  • Review all loan packages including proper approval authority, entity documentation, promissory notes, security instruments, loan agreements, lien instruments, title commitments/real property searches, appraisals, contracts, UCC searches, insurance policies, surveys, and environmental reports.
  • Review customer loan files for appropriate customer verification as required by Bank policy; adhere to BSA/AML requirements and bank policy.
  • Prepare/Organize closed loan packages for processing by Loan Operations
  • Provide disclosures when necessary
  • Order Flood, Title Commitments, UCC Searches, Environmental Reports, Appraisals, and any other applicable documents
  • Monitor exception reports to clear exceptions in a timely manner


  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:



  • Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience required, including processing, closing, perfecting liens, etc.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • A strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work quickly and accurately under constant deadlines
  • Ability to independently identify resolutions to documentation and/or deadline issues
  • Strong attention to detail and possess strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer and technology-related skills
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
