Internship Duration: March - August

The Procurement Intern provide support to the Procurement Department based in Durham. Supporting buyers on data collection, market research, preparation of charts, and any other activities that will help Buyers prepare Category Sourcing Strategies and Business Reviews.

Primary Duties

  • Provide day to day support to the Buyers.

  • Support buyers on researching the market (key players, market conditions etc.) regarding categories sourcing strategies.

  • Support buyers on Supplier Business Reviews preparation: performance data collection & analysis and PPT preparation.

  • Support buyers on all the activities linked to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilities) included ECOVADIS & SBTi.

  • Support buyers on the profitability projects & saucerization projects.

  • Maintain and update regularly various centralized purchasing files to include, but not limited to: Approved Supplier List, NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreements), contracts and required Supplier documentation (SAD, SSS, Iso certificates).

  • Assist buyers on SSC Meetings minutes and action plan follow up.

  • Assist buyers on spend data analysis & supplier panel management through data analytics (Spend, rationalization, optimization)

  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree program in Accounting, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or similar field.

  • Experience in MS Office tools to include but not limited to Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel

The estimated wage range for this role based in North Carolina is between $20-22. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux's bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate's experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
