The Safety Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Safety and Security Management Systems
* Strives for an Injury Free working environment for our people * Develops high levels of employee engagement * Trends and drives the key Leading Indicators * Responsible for developing and delivering Safety and Security training * Coordinates completion of Lean Job Hazard Analysis * Understands and promotes Behavior Based Safety * Promotes the Safety Improvement programs * Promotes continuous improvement * Analyzes and trends indicators of injuries * Assists with performing comprehensive injury investigations * Manages workers compensation claims * Supports compliance to OSHA and Kimball International standards * Coordinates the Facility Security Program * Understands and supports effective Local Emergency Response Teams (LERT) * Understands and supports external certification programs (VPP and SHARPs) * Assists in creating effective Safety teams * Responsible to report all internal and external reporting requirements * Maintains and updates written plans with annuals reviews * Responsible for maintaining documentation of all required safety training. * Maintains SDS sheets, both active and inactive * Maintains safety files using the standard electronic filing format * Support the Core Values and Corporate Goals of Kimball International. * Supports 6S initiatives and Continuous Improvement | |
