Microsoft's Office of Strategy and Transformation is seeking a SeniorManager,Enterprise Transformationto helpadvanceMicrosoft's evolution into a Frontier Firm-defined by the ability to continuously learn, rapidly improve, and scale value creation through AI and operational excellence. This role sits at the center of the company's most critical transformation priorities.

Our team uses Continuous Improvement (CI) as our core operating system. We apply structured problem solving, systems thinking, and data-driven execution to complex, enterprise-wide challenges. While we leverage CI methodologies, traditional Lean or CI backgrounds are not required. What matters is a demonstrated ability to think rigorously, lead complex work systematically, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Reimagineend-to-endworkflows: redesign critical business processes that spanorganizational boundaries to deliverstep-functionimprovements,utilizingthe core tools and methodologies of continuous improvement.

  • Operationalize strategy into execution:facilitateteams in definition of improvement goals,leveragingrelevant benchmarks to set a high bar, andsupportimplementation of improvements to achieve targeted outcomes.

  • Identifyand embed AI applications: surface high-value opportunities for AI/automation in target workflows,validatefeasibility andimpact, and partner with teams to implement AI-enabled improvements that increase speed, quality, and performance.

  • Build cross-org alignment:facilitateoutcome-drivenKaizeneventswith senior leadersand teams toalign priorities, surface tradeoffs, and drive clear decisionsand results.You'll manage stakeholder engagement rhythm and partnerships by resolvingchallenges anddrivingsustainment of improvements.

  • Drive outcomes through insights: analyze performance data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations that enable teams to adopt reimagined workflows. Use data toidentifyopportunities, communicate results, and partner with teams to implement improvements.

  • Lead change management:applyyourbusiness acumen to guide teams throughend-to-endtoimplementation of complex,crossfunctionalfunctionalprocess improvements, ensuringmaintenance ofclear andcompletedocumentation.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field AND 12+ years process management, process execution, process optimization, or related experience (e.g., data analytics)
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Lean, Business Process Management Professional, Change Management (e.g., Prosci), Six Sigma, and/or Agile certifications.

Process Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
