Overview
Join the Microsoft Sentinel Platform team, a fast-growing, mission-driven group building the next-generation security data platform. Our team is responsible for delivering a unified, scalable, and intelligent foundation that powers the evolution to Agentic AI alongside the Microsoft Sentinel and the broader security ecosystem. We combine a high-performance security data lake with a deeply connected graph to enable advanced threat detection, investigation, and response. We're looking for a customer-obsessed and technically curious Principal Product Manager to join the Sentinel Platform team. As a PM, you'll help define and deliver capabilities that enable scalable, intelligent, and secure data experiences for defenders and developers. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and partner teams to shape how security data is ingested, normalized, retained, and queried across multiple modalities-including tabular, graph, and vector.
Responsibilities
- Create and drive the product area vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Manage cross-team partnerships and relationships across disciplines to establish a shared vision, framework and roadmap.
- Obsess the customer, informed by data, own the end-to-end experience, and deliver with agility and quality.
- Orchestrate cross-org execution with engineering, applied science, design, and partner product teams to land complex, high impact experiences on time with clear milestones and crisp communication.
- Drive go-to-market readiness: shape rollout plans, partner with marketing on comms, ensure robust customer support, and anticipate future needs from ongoing feedback & usage.
- Represent the effort within Teams and with partners across Microsoft, providing clarity and advocating for value delivery.
- Represent Microsoft and the product externally with customers and partners.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
- Proven product sense with a demonstrated track record of defining and shipping innovative, user-centric features in complex, ambiguous environments (preferably in collaboration tools, AI, or enterprise software).
- Deep commitment to user experience as the foundation of all decisions, with proven ability to advocate for intuitive, inclusive, and delightful meeting experiences grounded in user research and empathy
- Excellence in product management, including rigorous prioritization, high quality specifications, disciplined roadmap management, high velocity execution, and a deep commitment to intuitive, inclusive user experiences grounded in research and empathy.
- Expertise in AI product development, including building AI applications, writing evaluation frameworks, and delivering rapid, customer centric outcomes in emerging, fast evolving agentic spaces with clarity and focus.
- Systems thinking, balancing platform consistency with product flexibility, and communicating complex ideas effectively to senior leadership and cross functional partners.
- Proven ability to deliver at scale, including shipping high impact end user experiences, driving strategic plans, influencing multi stakeholder strategies across cultures and geographies, and negotiating at senior levels to enable decisive actions and meaningful business/customer outcomes.
Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
