Security Officer - Day Shift Entry Control

As a Security Officer - Day Shift Entry Control in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain clear visitor and delivery logs. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with team members, drivers, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, drivers, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and contractor logs.
• Support inbound and outbound operations by coordinating driver check-in and/or check-out, confirming appointment details and delivery documentation, and directing vehicles to the appropriate docks and staging areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
