Security Officer - Full-Time Site Patrol

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Site Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a world-class cultural arts location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will greet guests and staff with professional customer service, communicate clearly, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a performing arts and cultural venue.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, theaters, galleries, backstage corridors, offices, loading areas, and exterior perimeters; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing visitor flow, and supporting entry screening processes as assigned.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site leadership, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and shift logs, communicate observations to appropriate personnel, and support investigations by preserving relevant information and/or video observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Have customer service experience preferred.
• Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
