Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Location: Arden Hills, MN (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term Contract to Hire

Pay: $53 an hour or about $107,000 a year

Position Overview

This role is an intermediate-level engineering position between entry-level and fully qualified engineer. The Manufacturing Engineer II evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. The individual exercises judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to processes and methods.

Assignments have clearly defined objectives and require investigation of a limited number of variables. This role also serves as a liaison between Materials and cross-functional groups to resolve supply chain and material-related issues.

The engineer will work onsite in Arden Hills, MN and collaborate with a team of approximately 10 individuals.

Key Responsibilities



  • Participate in large-scale projects or lead smaller-scale projects under guidance from senior engineering staff
  • Utilize relevant business tools, including:
  • Material qualification activities (AA/FA)
  • NCEP process
  • Required PDM activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to qualify and improve supplier processes
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work within a major project or manage a moderate-scope project
  • Interface with suppliers (with support from commodity team members) to investigate material issues or supply constraints
  • Execute NCEP/CAPA investigations to determine and resolve root causes of defective components identified at receiving inspection
  • Support NCEP/CAPA investigations where defects are identified in production
  • Support product complaint investigations when supplied material may be a potential root cause
  • Apply basic statistical tools as appropriate
  • Prepare clear, concise technical reports and presentations



Quality Systems Responsibilities

Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and all documented quality processes and procedures.

Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 2-4 years of experience, OR
  • Master's Degree in Engineering with 0-2 years of experience
