HDR is seeking a construction Final Estimates Specialist for our Pompano Beach or Turkey Lake offices. Be involved in projects with our GEMC Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges!

Primary Responsibilities

*Reviews Final Estimates construction documentation, and audits for completeness and accuracy, and ensures conformance with contract documents and specifications and FDOT Turnpike procedures.
*Performs Quality Control and Post Audit reviews of the construction quantity and cost documents produced by the Consultant Engineering and Inspection (CEI) personnel.
*Prepares reports on construction projects detailing errors and omissions, if any.
*Determines that all calculations and/or field measurements for pay quantities are complete and mathematically correct and are substantiated by field records.
*Processes estimates after project acceptance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10 years experience
  • This position requires a certification in Final Estimates Level I and Level II through the Florida DOT Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP). Must obtain within six (6) months after hire and maintain thereafter.

  • Knowledge of FDOT policies and procedures relating to Final Estimates is a plus.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and department used software programs.
Required Qualifications
  • 3 years contract related experience; advanced degree or contract certification program may substitute for years of experience
  • Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, with minimal management oversight
  • Excellent writing and people skills
  • Strong math and organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
