HDR is seeking a construction Final Estimates Specialist for our Pompano Beach or Turkey Lake offices. Be involved in projects with our GEMC Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges! Primary Responsibilities Reviews Final Estimates construction documentation, and audits for completeness and accuracy, and ensures conformance with contract documents and specifications and FDOT Turnpike procedures. Performs Quality Control and Post Audit reviews of the construction quantity and cost documents produced by the Consultant Engineering and Inspection (CEI) personnel. Prepares reports on construction projects detailing errors and omissions, if any. Determines that all calculations and/or field measurements for pay quantities are complete and mathematically correct and are substantiated by field records. Processes estimates after project acceptance as needed. Preferred Qualifications* Bachelor's degree 10 years experience This position requires a certification in Final Estimates Level I and Level II through the Florida DOT Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP). Must obtain within six (6) months after hire and maintain thereafter. Knowledge of FDOT policies and procedures relating to Final Estimates is a plus. Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to use a personal computer and department used software programs. Required Qualifications 3 years contract related experience; advanced degree or contract certification program may substitute for years of experience Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, with minimal management oversight Excellent writing and people skills Strong math and organizational skills Proficient with Microsoft Office software An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
