What You'll Do
- Operate and monitor the Class 1 injection well system, including pumps, filters, and instrumentation.
- Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance for efficient operations.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FDEP/TCEQ requirements.
- Collect samples, analyze system data, and prepare regulatory reports.
- Respond quickly to alarms, equipment malfunctions, and system alerts.
- Collaborate with the District Manager, engineers, consultants, and regulatory partners.
- Maintain detailed records of injection volumes, pressures, and maintenance activities.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training.
- Assist with the loading/handling of leachate tanker trucks as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in injection well operations, industrial wastewater treatment, or similar systems preferred.
- Strong understanding of Class 1 injection well regulations and environmental compliance.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot pumps, valves, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documentation.
- Experience with SCADA or similar monitoring systems (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent recordkeeping abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certifications in wastewater, well operations, or related fields required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, and stand for long periods.
- May require oncall availability for emergencies or system alarms.
