Baker College is seeking a dynamic and relationship-driven Clinical Coordinator to cultivate strong clinical partnerships and champion student success within our Nursing Program. The Clinical Coordinator assists the Dean in coordinating nursing education courses and ensuring an adequate number of clinical sites to support the teaching needs and philosophy of the Nursing Program. This role serves as a liaison between the College and affiliated clinical facilities, maintaining ongoing communication with hospital educators and administrators to sustain clinical placements and manage affiliation agreements. Responsibilities include conducting onsite visits to clinical agencies, communicating program updates to clinical partners, and maintaining required documentation in compliance with Michigan Board of Nursing standards. The Clinical Coordinator may teach nursing courses as assigned and supports the Dean in planning, budgeting, organizing, and evaluating the program. Additional duties include participation in curriculum development, course assessment, student advising, team collaboration, and maintaining professional standards and continuing education to ensure current expertise in nursing and academic practice. A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required, with a Doctorate in Nursing preferred. Candidates must hold a current Michigan Registered Nurse license and possess current experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing and/or Mental Health clinical experience is preferred. The position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting statistical program data and overall computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and internet-based systems. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to clinical sites and attend off-site system meetings, demonstrate excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
