Landscaper (seasonal full- time)

Location: Kanab,UT

(Seasonal Part-Time April through October)

Hiring Range: $16.00 per hour to $17.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Position Summary: TheGeneral Landscaper (Tier 1)assistsin the maintenance of the landscaped areas of the Roadhouse,maintainsthe natural beauty of the undeveloped areas of the Roadhouse, and performs a variety of related tasks.

• Performsmanualandpowertoolassistedweedremovalfromlawns,garden&flowerbeds,rockbeds, walkways, parkinglot,dog parks,areas ofheavy traffic and naturallandscaped areas.
• Performsweeklymowingandedgingoflawnsusinggasorbatterypoweredmowersandtrimmers.
• Performspruningof treesandvariousvegetationtoindustrystandardusingchainsaw,powertools&hand tools.
• Watersareasbyhandusingahoseand/or wateringcanasdirected.
• Monitorsallplantswhileworkingandreportanychangesorconcerns.
• Performssnowremovalofwalkwaysandpublicbuildings.
• Maintains a safe workplace,valuingand modeling safe work practices,adhering to organizationalsafetypractices and rules,andcommunicatingaboutunsafe practices and conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

SkillsandExperience:

• Previousexperienceinlandscapingorgardeningpreferred.
• Abilitytoworkaloneaswellasworkingaspartofateam.

PhysicalRequirements:

• Mustbeabletoroutinelyliftandcarry 50pounds.
• Mustbeabletoworkoutdoorsforprolongedperiodsinallweatherconditionswith temperatures rangingfrombelowfreezingtoabove100degrees
• Mustbeabletoperformstrenuousphysicalactivitydaily including,butnotlimitedtoclimbing,liftingandcarrying,reaching, stooping,squatting,cleaningandbending.
