Digital Content Specialist, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

As a Digital Content Specialist, you will create, produce, and optimize video-first content for the museum's social media and digital platforms. You will play a critical part in telling the museum's stories through mainly short-form video, supporting exhibitions, programs, and institutional goals and initiatives. You will combine creative production with performance analysis and platform best practices, and work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications department and with other departments across the museum.

Schedule: Monday - Friday regular business hours, with some weekend days and after hours may be required as needed.

Pay Range: $23.20 - $28.90 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

You might be a great fit if you have:



  • College degree and 2-4 years working in social media, video creation, digital content, editing, or related school/self-directed experience is required
  • Previous experience working in a non-profit and/or cultural institution a plus
  • Strong expertise in short-form and social-first video production
  • Proficiency with video editing tools and mobile and/or DSLR video capture
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, audiences, and video best practices
  • Ability to analyze content performance and translate insights into creative and strategic improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across platforms
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a cross-functional team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


Physical Requirements and Working Conditions



  • Sitting, working with hands, working with fingers, talking, hearing, vision.
  • Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Some weekend days and after hours may be required as needed.
  • Subject to interruptions.
  • May require some light lifting occasionally.


This position will be covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME-CWU.
