Overview AmTrust Financial, a Global Fortune 500 company, is currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant in Cleveland, Ohio. This position will be responsible for supporting one of the Cash Operations' Directors in the area of Accounts Receivable and other members of the Accounts Receivable Legal team. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: insurance, litigation, bankruptcy, collections, or related practice areas. Responsibilities Review and respond to correspondence from peer colleagues and third-party vendors * Conduct general policyholder research and provide recommendations to management * Organize and maintain structured and comprehensive files * Prepare documents for review, execution, and circulation to outside parties * Provide administrative support to Accounts Receivable Director as needed * Special projects as assigned Qualifications BA or BS preferred, but not required * Two to four years of previous law firm or in-house legal department experience * Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel programs * Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills * Must be reliable, detail oriented, highly organized, and able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment * Must be able to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team This job description is designed to provide a general overview of the job and does not entail a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities that will be required in this position.
