Senior PR Manager
This is a 7-month, full-time (40 hours/week), on-site contract role located in Cupertino, CA. Summary
This role will serve as an interim leader on the corporate communications team, driving strategic public relations initiatives and strengthening relationships with media and community stakeholders. The position plays a key role in shaping and executing communications strategies that elevate the organization's values and brand presence. Our Ideal Candidate
- 10+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or related fields
- Passion for consumer technology with a strong foundation in strategic communications and storytelling
- Proficient in media relations, press material development, and executive communications, with strong writing and messaging skills
- Familiar with managing communications in fast-paced, high-visibility environments and continuous news cycles
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, executives, media, and external stakeholders
- Able to work independently and manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder needs
- Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive self-starter with a track record of driving creative PR opportunities and securing impactful media coverage
Job Description
In this role, you will lead and execute public relations strategies that amplify the organization's values and strengthen its brand reputation. You'll partner with cross-functional teams across the company to develop and implement communications strategies, drive media engagement, and secure meaningful coverage. This includes crafting compelling pitches and press materials, staffing media events and briefings, and navigating complex issues with both internal and external stakeholders. You will also monitor and manage communications issues in a continuous news cycle, maintain strong relationships with press and influencers, and identify opportunities for proactive storytelling, supporting the corporate communications team's overall success and visibility. Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Background in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or consumer technology
- Experience working in high-profile, brand-driven environments is preferred
