Commercial Projects & Analytics Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a driven and highly organized Project Manager to lead and support our Sales Analytics, Vendor Relations, and E-Commerce initiatives. In this role, you will oversee a team responsible for sales reporting and performance analytics, manage strategic relationships with external vendors focused on sales lead generation, and serve as a key contributor to e-commerce projects as needed. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, data-savvy professional who thrives in a cross-functional environment and has a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Analytics & Reporting
- Lead and manage a team responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting sales performance data and reporting.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of sales dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports for leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all sales reporting outputs.
- Partner with sales leadership to define KPIs and translate business questions into clear, data-driven insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate manual workflows, and reduce reliance on individual spreadsheets in favor of scalable, centralized solutions.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Vendor Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors supporting sales lead generation activities.
- Manage vendor performance, contracts, and service level agreements; hold vendors accountable to deliverables and timelines.
- Evaluate vendor outputs and data quality; proactively identify and resolve issues in partnership with vendors.
- Conduct regular business reviews with vendor partners to assess performance, address concerns, and explore opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal to ensure vendor relationships align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Source and evaluate new vendor partnerships as needed to support lead generation strategy.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables across analytics, vendor, and e-commerce workstreams.
- Maintain clear project documentation including charters, status updates, meeting notes, and risk logs.
- Facilitate regular team meetings and stakeholder check-ins to ensure alignment and visibility on project progress.
- Proactively identify risks and roadblocks; communicate issues early and drive resolution.
- Support e-commerce initiatives by contributing project management expertise and sales data insights as needed.
- Partner with IT, Marketing, and Sales teams on e-commerce projects impacting lead generation, customer tracking, and sales performance reporting.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts responsible for sales reporting and tracking functions.
- Set clear expectations, prioritize workload, and ensure team members have the tools and support needed to succeed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data integrity within the team.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones and performance conversations to support individual growth and team engagement.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of managing cross-functional projects.
- Experience managing or overseeing analytics and reporting functions, ideally in a sales or revenue-focused environment.
- Proven ability to manage external vendor relationships, including contract oversight and performance management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with reporting and project management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Asana, Jira, or similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms and digital sales channels.
- Familiarity with lead generation tools, CRM systems, and sales tech stacks.
- Experience in a high-growth or matrixed organization.
