Job DescriptionThe Group Environmental and Systems Director (GED - Systems) position will support McWane EHS function for EHS Systems Management, Compliance, and Metrics. The position will also have responsibility for environmental oversite of assigned operating facilities. This is an essential business-critical role that reports directly to the VP of EHS and provides capabilities to the global EHS organization. This role is required to provide McWane accurate data at all levels of the organization, validate data from a global reporting perspective, and manage the suite of EHS Management Information Systems (EHSMIS) that support the EHS team. The GED - Systems has sound knowledge and application of processes in EHSMIS management and can clearly articulate EHSMIS tools used to support the business and assist the VP EHS with the strategic plan of the McWane EHS Management System; a risk-based, prevention and compliance system. This position is responsible for: EHSMIS Management and Strategy, Data Management, and Divisional/Facility Support. The GED - Systems has responsibility to ensure risk management processes are applied and facilitate development of actionable solutions. This role supports and provides strategic direction to the organization through the application of EHS management tools to coincide with McWane Way Principles, Values, and Behaviors. This position will also collaborate with and aid McWane facilities assigned to him/her on all environmental and related issues. This will include compliance with air, solid and hazardous waste, storm water, process water and wastewater, EPCRA and other federal, state and local requirements as well as McWane's environmental policies, and programs. They will facilitate communications between corporate environmental and the leadership and environmental departments at assigned facilities.
