The Manager, Information Technology leads the Recruiting and Admissions Solutions group within the Office of Enrollment Operations' Enrollment Technology Team, supporting UT Dallas' Offices of Admissions and Enrollment Operations in designing, implementing, and maintaining key technology solutions related to student recruiting and admission.
Specifically, this position acts as a hands-on technical administrator working across multiple enterprise systems, including Salesforce and related middleware platforms, to deliver technology solutions for prospective student recruitment and application systems in the areas of
CRM development, marketing, event management, data management, reporting, and systems integration in Salesforce and other software platforms. This position also supports new project intake by participating in reviewing and prioritizing campus-wide work requests, determining the necessity and potential benefits of the requested work or project, and creating relevant units of work to be documented and implemented. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business information systems or related field. Five to seven years or more of progressively responsible experience in the area of specialization; OR the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Two years supervisory experience overseeing information resources professionals. |
| Preferred Education and Experience |
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management, or a related field and at least seven years of technical experience
- Demonstrated competence in one or more enterprise software application systems
- Familiarity with middleware implementation and maintenance utilizing platforms such as Boomi or Informatica
- Familiarity with Salesforce Education Cloud and Marketing Cloud
- Familiarity with Enterprise/CRM Analytics
- Supervisory experience with the proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to plan and implement projects of significant scope and impact
- Experience in data model planning and development
- Certified Salesforce Administrator and/or Developer

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Act as the lead of the Recruiting and Admissions Solutions group within the Office of Enrollment Operations' Enrollment Technology Team, responsible for the Salesforce CRM platform.
- Maintain enterprise student recruiting and application technology functions, including admission review workflow; application- and marketing-related forms; feature enhancement development and implementation; workflow, configuration and parameter change documentation; system upgrade testing; and time-driven modifications, updates, and maintenance.
- Perform technical functions such as system design, maintenance scheduling, and code configuration and review, and lead design and code reviews for software development projects.
- Troubleshoot issues within Enrollment Technology systems, software, data queries, integration middleware, and configuration.
- Manage the Recruiting and Admissions Solutions group, providing staff oversight, performance management, and professional mentoring; identify training needs and encourage skills development across the team.
- Interact with University stakeholders across academic and administrative departments to perform needs assessments, requirement analysis, project prioritization, and technology consultations related to Salesforce CRM and other related enterprise systems.
- Facilitate the intake of work requests for the Enrollment Technology Team; determine necessity and priority of each unit of work, refine requirements, and collaborate with other Enrollment Technology Team managers and staff to perform needed work.
- Assist Enrollment Technology Team leadership in planning complex implementations and coordinate ad-hoc project staffing across groups to meet agile needs; aid in establishing appropriate processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
- Participate in internal requirement analysis in coordination with other technical staff.
- Develop and foster a customer-focused culture for the Recruiting and Admissions Solutions group based on information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) and industry standard practices, resulting in the alignment of Enrollment Technology Team services with institutional needs.
- Perform research into future Enrollment Technology strategies, vendor solutions, and automation tools.

- Ability to learn new systems and functionalities rapidly in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with administrative, functional, and technical users in order to explain complex technical ideas and solutions to all levels of audiences
- Ability to carry out new feature design as well as maintenance and support of existing system capabilities
- Ability to document system configurations, specifications, and procedures
- Ability to plan, coordinate, schedule, direct, and monitor tasks, activities, and projects to ensure timely completion of multiple assignments
- Demonstrated interest in the continued pursuit of technical knowledge with a mindset geared to career-long learning
Remote Work Notice
Following successful completion of an initial training period, a
hybrid work schedule may be available, subject to business needs and departmental approval.
Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be cancelled.
