Requirements

Flight Specialties Components Corp. (FSC), a subsidiary of HEICO Aerospace, is currently recruiting for a Senior Materials Manager to help lead the business unit and provide long-term, year-over-year growth at our facility in Highland Heights, Ohio.



PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES


This position reports directly to the FSC General Manager and is responsible for overseeing Supply Chain, Inventory, Shipping and Receiving, and Customer Service functions to ensure the business operational goals are met. As a key contributor to the operations planning process, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply with demand and drive continuous improvement.



  • Develop and implement comprehensive materials management strategies aligned with business unit goals for revenue, delivery, and cost reduction.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiate high-value contracts, and foster strategic partnerships to ensure reliability, quality, and competitive pricing.
  • Define, monitor, and report on key metrics such as on time delivery, backlog, shipping accuracy, purchasing trends, inventory trends, and supplier delivery metrics.
  • Provide professional leadership and mentorship and build the internal team through personal growth and hiring.
  • Provide problem solving, process improvement, and conflict resolution direction to the team
  • Travel to customers, suppliers, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Perform other activities as assigned by senior management.


  • Position is promotable incumbent on the growth of the business and the team member.


This position may require10-20% travel to visit suppliers, customers, and attend training, including locations outside the United States.



EDUCATION / PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  • Successful candidate will have professional demeanor with a high motor, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be flexible in handling multiple tasks and have the drive and ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • A four-year Degree in Business, Engineering, or another technical field of study is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence required.
  • Ability to lead teams and accomplish goals on time is required.
  • Ability to solve problems, negotiate, and work to positive solutions required.
  • Experience with logistics, supply chain, and supplier management is required.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products required.
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations with regards to airworthy articles is highly desired.
  • High proficiency in the use of Microsoft Project is highly desired.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering environment or quality control closely coupled to production is highly desired.
