Responsibilities

  • Partner with other recruiters and hiring managers to develop strategic, compliant recruiting plans with a strong focus on qualified talent with diverse backgrounds.
  • Build and maintain a robust candidate pipeline through proactive sourcing and relationship management
  • Advise hiring managers and stakeholders on recruiting processes and applicable federal and state employment laws
  • Lead intake sessions and create job requisitions in Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Source, screen, and prescreen candidates using internal systems, external tools, job boards, and social media
  • Extend and negotiate verbal offers to candidates in alignment with internal guidelines
  • Collaborate with hiring team to ensure timely and accurate hiring and onboarding processes

Working Conditions

  • This position will be based at the Charlotte, NC Headquarters
  • Hybrid - three days in office. Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations in a general office environment after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to their assigned Duke Energy facility.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field
  • In addition to required degree, three (3) years minimum of related work experience
  • In lieu of bachelor's degree AND three (3) years minimum of related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND seven (7) years minimum related work experience
  • 3+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience (corporate and/or agency)
  • Proven experience recruiting mid-level leaders and advanced technical professionals

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in managing requisitions in the Workday Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated candidate sourcing and pipelining experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and/or Candidate Relationship Management Tools
  • Must be very professional and able to represent the Duke Energy Corporation in a professional manner.
  • Excellent planning, critical thinking, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
  • Professional, persuasive written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and influence
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance (EEOC, OFCCP, USERRA); PHR/SPHR preferred
