This position is responsible for the Ground Ops Station and Facility Audit Program.

Responsibilities:





    • Specifically support the following Job Aids:

      • Key processes
      • New station start-up process
      • Key manuals, checklists, SOPs
      • Ground Ops Loadmasters and PSR


    • Manage department (or function) to meet or beat budget.
    • Maintain a safe operation (or workplace) through communication, audit, review, and training.
    • Ensure adherence to all key corporate policies.
    • Continuously identify, evaluate, and implement key process improvement initiatives to improve overall service levels, including
    • Resolve customer service issues in a timely manner
    • Participate in daily worldwide ground operations conference calls
    • Attend Industry conferences and seminars to stay abreast of trends/issues
    • Participate on Government and Industry panels
    • Meet with customers on a regular basis in concert with Sales and Marketing
    • Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
    • Provide timely input to Marketing department
    • Third-party vendor oversight and contract management
    • Contract rate reductions and or preferred pricing through negotiation, same vendor, and volume discounts
    • CSDIP Project and the resulting consolidations
    • Out-sourcing and in-sourcing opportunities
    • Invoice oversight and coding down to station level for all activities
    • Provide support functionality that maintains professional and effective liaison programs with relevant regulatory authorities, trade associations, vendors, airports, other professional organizations, etc., including

      • ATA
      • Key Airports
      • Other Vendors and Professional Organizations


    • Comply as appropriate with relevant environmental regulatory requirements
    • Minimize ground damage to aircraft caused by ground operations
    • Corporate facilities: continually evaluate, manage, and procure all worldwide facilities for

      • Cost-effectiveness
      • Location desirability
      • Facility functionality
      • Flexibility and scalability


    • Review and approve annual budgets for all ground operations departments
    • Participate in monthly departmental budget reviews




Qualifications:



  • Degree required, and/or equivalent experience in aviation-related role(s)
  • Eight to ten years of experience
  • Ability to lead and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable in rolling up their sleeves in a lean environment where limited structure and policy currently exist
  • Strong team, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to be supportive and mentally tough

Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package.
