| Job Description |
The purpose of the Student Account Specialist II is to support the Accounts Receivable function by servicing student and non-student accounts. This is accomplished by establishing and managing the billing accounts of children at the College's Early Learning Center; running the weekly automated refund process for the College to refund all student and non-student accounts, including refunds for financial aid and any other account adjustments; working in a front-line position to assist students, parents, and other outside customers to make payments on their accounts, resolve account issues, answering inquiries, and provide documentation; collecting non-student delinquent payments by contacting past due accounts.
This is a non-exempt staff position.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Ability to effectively communicate with students and other members of the public to provide accurate information regarding billing, student account details and refunds
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to billing discrepancies and other account inquiries
- Ability to assist students with reviewing their accounts and answer questions related to account holds and account balances
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms, Teams, and SharePoint
- Detail oriented, organized, and ability to work independently

Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30 with the ability to work 9:30-5:30 as needed. |
