Microanalysis Intern

Job Description:

Position Summary:

In this role, you will join Entegris' Microanalysis team, which is developing a method to count and identify unknown nanoparticles in DIW and ultra-clean aqueous samples, a major challenge in the semiconductor industry. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge analytical instruments and contribute to method development and routine analytical services.

What You'll Do:

* Perform and present analytical test results to Senior Scientists and Engineers.

* Develop and iterate upon test methodologies.

* Discuss test results and suggest future project directions.

* Support routine analytical services by analyzing samples from other teams.

* Become proficient in advanced analytical tools including:

* Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)

* Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)

* Confocal 3D Fluorescence Microscope

* Microscope FTIR

What We Seek:

  • Open-minded and eager to learn new techniques.

  • Strong data analysis and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge in analytical or organic chemistry or digital imaging analysis.

  • Ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:
* Majors: Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science
* Graduation Year: Graduation May 2026 or later

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time, the intern will work in the cleanroom and operating a variety of microscopes.

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.

Compensation: $20-$32 hourly range with actual pay dependent on graduation year and candidate skillset
