We're looking for a Creative Technology Engineer to join Procore's Creative Technology team. In this role, you'll be the hands-on systems architect responsible for designing, engineering, and integrating how our customers and employees experience our product within our physical collaboration environments. This role is pivotal in shaping our immersive experience centers, strategic event spaces, and corporate offices.

As a Creative Technology Engineer, you'll partner with Corporate IT, Facilities, Product Marketing, and Design to design and standardize the technology that powers our workplaces and transform how we demonstrate our live products. Use your systems architecture expertise, live production experience, and creative engineering capabilities to bring our platform vision to life and transform how stakeholders interact with Procore. This position reports into the Manager, Creative Technology and will be based in our Austin, TX. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the conceptualization, systems architecture, and hands-on integration of immersive, technology-driven experiences into our physical Experience Centers and Innovation Labs.

  • Act as the primary technical architect partnering with Corporate IT and Facilities to design and standardize global audio/visual hardware and software stacks for all corporate offices.

  • Serve as the Technical Director for live productions, taking responsibility for signal flow, system health, and operation of hardware for events ranging from internal showcases to large customer productions.

  • Partner with Engineering and Design to architect and deploy live integrations of Procore's product experiences (including drone and simulator tech) into physical environments.

  • Identify root causes, design systemic backup plans, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure 100% production stability and system integrity.

  • Lead the R&D and prototyping of emerging technologies, including interactive video walls, projection mapping, spatial audio systems, and AI-driven interactions.

  • Develop and manage repeatable technical playbooks for strategic events to ensure production-grade technology and flawless execution.

  • Oversee external vendors and technical partners during project implementation, participating in RFPs and scope definition to ensure the highest quality.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of proven experience in a systems engineering, AV architecture, or technical integration role, preferably in a large global corporate environment.

  • Expert, hands-on knowledge of designing and integrating interactive technologies, including production control systems (e.g., Crestron, Q-SYS, Watchout, TouchDesigner).

  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Director or lead engineer responsible for designing and operating systems for large-scale live events.

  • Strong background in IT systems, networking (video-over-IP, NDI), and API-level integration as they relate to AV production.

  • Experience managing complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders (IT, Facilities, Marketing) from concept to completion.

  • Excellent technical problem-solving skills with the ability to keep calm, focused, and confident in a production environment.

  • Familiarity with 3D visualization tools (Vectorworks, SketchUp), game engines (Unreal, Unity), or broadcast engineering is preferred.

Additional Information

Base Pay Range:

140,960.00 - 193,820.00 USD Annual For Los Angeles County (unincorporated) Candidates:
