Overview

The Entry-Level Orchestrations / Integrations Developer is a software development role designed for recent graduates with a strong foundation in programming, data, and structured data formats. Java foundation is also desired. This role focuses on building and supporting system integrations and automated workflows that connect enterprise applications using technologies such as XML and databases.

This role is designed to be broadly developmental. The developer will have opportunities to work across multiple technical areas, learn new technologies, and contribute to end-to-end solution delivery as part of a cross-functional Agile team.

As part of an Agile software development team, the developer will work alongside experienced engineers, Product Owners, and testers to deliver reliable integrations while learning enterprise integration patterns, tools, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

    Learn to design, build, and support system integrations and orchestrated workflows with guidance from senior developers.
  • Develop and maintain integration logic using structured data formats such as XML type languages.
  • Work with databases to read, write, and transform data as part of integration solutions.
  • Assist with implementing, testing, and troubleshooting integrations between internal systems.
  • Participate in Agile team activities including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and translate them into technical tasks.
  • Write clear, maintainable code and configuration following team standards.
  • Help document integration flows, data mappings, and technical changes.
  • Gradually expand skills into additional areas such as APIs, messaging, automation, or middleware tools.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or Engineering
  • 1-5 years of post-graduate engineering experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level of security clearance through the Department of Defense

Preferred:

  • Academic or project experience with:
    • XML or other structured data formats
    • Databases (basic SQL, tables, queries)
    • Java
  • Familiarity with data concepts (schemas, fields, transformations).
  • Understanding of core software development concepts such as data structures, debugging, and version control.
  • Experience with Git or other source control systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development principles and team-based delivery.

  • Detail-oriented, with a pragmatic mindset focusing on execution and delivery.
