Job Summary-

The Electro-Mechanical Lab Technician Summer Intern will work with collaborative teams on various hands-on technical projects associated with our core mission at the engineering development lab and test facility (firing range). Responsibilities-

Essential Functions:

    Support the design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of electromechanical components and assemblies
  • Support instrumentation, testing, data collection, and data analysis to support new product development
  • Utilize inspection and test equipment and lab instruments to verify product functionality
  • Support test plan, safety release, test report, and other documentation generation, review, and approval
  • Assigned tasks of increasing complexity appropriate to the level of education and skills demonstrated


Qualifications-

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least halfway through the curriculum at a 2-year accredited college or university or have graduated within the last 6 months
  • Must be in an engineering field of study such as electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or similar engineering technology curriculum
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse employee population
  • Must focus on personal and team safety to be able to successfully work in a hands-on lab and test facility
  • Preference given to candidates with demonstrated experience in areas
    • electronics build, debug/troubleshooting, and repair
    • instrumentation setup, troubleshooting, and data analysis, including the use of LabVIEW, Dewesoft or similar data acquisition and analysis software
    • technical documentation, to include interpreting drawings, assimilating and documenting technical input, and producing technical reports and design documentation

  • No or very little travel likely.


Pay Range (USD)

$20.50 - $24.50
