Position Title: Industrial Services Senior Business Development Analyst

Travel: 20%

Position Summary

The Industrial Services Senior Business Development Analyst will provide the analytical muscle behind the Industrial Services segment's pricing, financial modeling, and operational performance tracking. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development this role sits at the intersection of Finance and Operations. You will be responsible for transforming raw plant data into actionable commercial insights, maintaining complex pricing models, and supporting the RFP process for new business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

Modeling & RFP Support

  • Maintain and update financial and pricing models for new business bids, renewals, and contract adjustments.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFP responses, specifically focusing on cost-plus modeling, margin analysis, and risk identification.
  • Review customer contracts to ensure operational assumptions (labor, throughput, yields) align with financial projections.
  • Analyze unsuccessful RFP processes to understand where the data leads for improvement in the next RFP.

Operational Analytics & Site Support

  • Travel to manufacturing and industrial sites (20%) to audit operational data and validate that "on-the-ground" realities match our financial models.
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), throughput, and process yields to identify margin improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with site leads to gather inputs for S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) cycles and slag/byproduct sales analysis.

Reporting & Digital Tools

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards to track daily production, utilization, and site-level profitability.
  • Act as a super-user for standardized enterprise tools, including labor modeling and budgeting templates.
  • Assist in the integration of CRM data with operational datasets to create a "single source of truth" for the commercial team.

Systems & Process Control

  • Ensure data integrity across all platforms by performing regular reconciliations between operational reports and financial actuals.

Experience & Skill Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within heavy manufacturing, industrial services, chemicals, or supply chain.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills (nested formulas, Power Query, modeling) are required. Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau is highly preferred.
  • Systems: Exposure to ERP systems (SAP or Oracle) is a significant plus.
  • Mindset: A "boots-on-the-ground" analytical approach-comfortable leaving the desk to walk a plant floor and talk to operators to understand data drivers.
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex data sets into simple, visual summaries for the Manager and Director-level stakeholders.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Engineering (Industrial or Chemical), Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.

Base pay $95,000 - $118,180 based on experience.

Annual performance bonus target 10%
